Dictionary of Jurgow's dialect

In this dictionary we tryed to colect mainly words which in Jurgow's dialect are not used very often or forgoten. Most of these words use only older people (50 and more) Jurgow'sinhabitants. Ypunger people don't understood most of them ore even don't know it. Currently most fo dialect's words have been substituted with words from Polish language. Some words in our dictionary have orgin from German language (frystyk m. breakfest, das Frűstűck), from Polish (kaganek m. candle) and from Slovaak (bośorka f. witch, bosorka, gaľer m. collar, frejyrka f. fiancée). Dictionary contain typical Jurgow's words and phases: (ozз́avić dok. to open i.e. mouth, basalyŋguvać niedok. layabout, don't work to hard, з́ivaźз́e przysł. rearly, not often).

Dinctionary can be browse by alphabet. Some words contain longer description and some also picture for better understanding of it.

The evidence was made by Teresa Wojtas. She colected all of the words from old people in Jurgow and also got proper description of it.
