The next stage of renovation of the church in Jurgów has been completed. From last Sunday, August 26, 2007, you can admire the renovated polychromes in the presbytery of the Jurgów church. Renovation of the polychrome is not 100% finished yet, but you have to wait about half a year for it to be finished, because the paint must dry properly so that it can be fixed with a special wax.
Priest Józef Marek renews more and more elements of the church. Starting with the smaller ones, such as the monstrance, the cross on the altar or the historic baptismal font, and ending with the renovation of the chapel of St. Joseph and the replacement of windows throughout the church. During the renovation of the kindergarten, the chapel of St. Adalbert, which is located in the same building.
After the polychrome in the presbytery was restored, the altar of the Heart of Jesus there was moved to the chapel of St. Joseph to the place where there were stairs leading to the pulpit, which is no longer used. The stations of the Way of the Cross, which are also currently under renovation, should return to their place soon, as well as the statues of the Passion of Christ located on the rainbow of the Jurgów church.
The parish priest of Jurgów can certainly be counted among the greatest restorers of the parish church.
